Learn to Dive with Reef Divers
Requirements for SCUBA Training
- A completed RSTC (Recreational Scuba Training Council) Medical questionnaire & SCUBA Training Agency Assumption of Risk are required for all in-water SCUBA training; a physician’s sign-off may be needed depending on your health history.
- All certified and/or non-certified divers as well as vessel passengers must complete Reef Divers Waiver before engaging in any activities with or renting any dive and/or snorkel equipment from Reef Divers.
- Minimum ages vary by course; junior certifications are available for younger divers with depth limits.
- Note that entry-level training ratios are 1:2 (instructor to student), except non-certified underwater participants under the age of 16, who must be taught using an instructor to student ratio of 1:1.
- Certifications from PADI and other recognized agencies (SSI, NAUI, etc.) are generally accepted as equivalents for prerequisite courses.
- Dive gear is included for PADI Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) and its repeats, the Bubblemaker pool session, the Full Open Water Diver and Open Water Diver (eLearning completed prior) courses, and PADI Open Water Diver and Non-PADI Open Water Diver (Universal) Referrals. For all other courses, participants must bring their own gear or rent equipment from us.
- PADI eLearning options let you complete the knowledge portion online before arrival, maximizing your in-water time in Cayman.
- Certifications are recognized worldwide and do not expire, though a refresher is recommended after time away from diving.
